Chippa United assistant coach Siyabulela Gwambi has parted ways with the club, iDiski Times has learnt.
Gwambi has been through and through with the club, starting his journey at Chippa United as an assistant coach under Dan Malesela back in 2020/21 season.
After the sacking of Malesela in April 2021, he was then named as the caretaker coach of the side, and he was in charge of nine matches, including when they lost the Nedbank Cup that season.
The Eastern Cape-born tactician was then re-deployed as the assistant coach under Gavin Hunt, Daine Klate, Lehlohonolo Seema and Kurt Lentjies.
At the beginning of the current season, he was named assistant coach of Morgan Mammila but after the appointment of Vusumuzi Vilakazi as the Technical Director of the club things changed.
iDiski Times understands that Gwambi is no longer at Chippa United. He was noticed to be absent in the previous match against Richards Bay and information coming from the camp is that he is no longer at the club.
Chippa face SuperSport United at Nelson Mandela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
