Gymah Set For Sekhukhune Exit

Edwin Gyimah is set to leave Sekhukhune United when his contract expires at the end of the current season.

The 33-year-old has spent over nine playing in South Africa and also had a spell at Helsingborg in Sweden. He played for a number of clubs including Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

In July 2021, he joined Babina Noko from Black Leopards and he had become a regular figure in Sekhukhune’s defence alongsie Daniel Cardoso.

However, he last featured for Sekhukhune back in November in a 2-1 victory over SuperSport United and has not been at training after alleged fallout with the technical team.

This publication understands understands that the former Legon Cities defender will leave Sekhukhune at the end of the current season, as his contract won’t be renewed.

He was part of the Sekhukhune side that reached the Nedbank Cup final lasy season, qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup for the first time in club’s history.
