Kaizer Chiefs academy product Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has responded to questions whether he has reached his full potential yet, and how he can help the team.
Ngcobo, 24, has already made 85 appearances for Amakhosi and is widely regarded as one of Chiefs’ biggest talent in recent years but he is yet to fully own a permanent spot in the Amakhosi line-up.
There have been question marks whether he will reach his true potential at Naturena, while the club are aiming to tie him down onto a new long-term deal.
“Sometimes I do get that [that I haven’t reached my full potential],” he told journalists.
“And like I said I’m working on my game and try not to rush so much.
“Im just trying to work on my game, making sure that I get to where I want to go.”
Ngcobo also revealed that he’s now fully ready to help the team again after overcoming some injury issues
“Yes, obviously, I’ve had some challenges with injuries,” he added.
“But then now I’m back and I’m focused and I want to make sure that I want to make sure that I try to stay fit and and play more games.
“Everyone is doing their best to make sure that the team gets maximum points and we’re playing well.
“And as I was sitting on the side I was also preparing myself that when I get a chance I can try and help the team.”
Chiefs return to action on Saturday when they will host Richards Bay at the FNB Stadium at 15:30.
