The kick-off for the new DStv Premiership season is around the corner and DStv, as well as the Premier Soccer League (PSL), have something special in store for fans of the biggest football league on the continent.
With only seven days to go until defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns face Sekhukhune United in the first fixture of the 2023/24 season, fans can also look to get in on the action!
Fans can expect more than just the spectacle on the pitch, with all 240 DStv Premiership games being broadcast live this season, and an exhilarating new AmaFanDayz campaign, where football meets entertainment and overall prize money of R3 million in cash is up for grabs.
“We give the fans the best quality broadcast production that is available and new this year is that we will be showcasing all 240 DStv Premiership games live,” said Marc Jury, the CEO for MultiChoice South Africa during the league’s launch event.
“The beauty of that is that a number of those matches will be on our new OTT platform called DStv Stream. DStv Stream will also allow for multiple language options, which is a fantastic new addition, coming into our streaming environment.
Jury also said the new AmaFanDayz campaign was all about the fan and getting them to go to the stadiums in big numbers.
“The winner of our new competition will win a R100,000 and the beauty of it is that if that fan is a DStv Compact or above subscriber, we will increase that prize money to R200,000. At select AmaFanDayz matches, fans will be able to enter our half-time competition to stand a chance to win their share of R3 million,” Jury added.

HOW TO ENTER?
So how can you or any supporter become one of the lucky fans to win your share of R3 million? It’s very simple.
To enter the competition, fans must come to selected #AmaFanDayz matches, visit the DStv activation zone inside the stadium and sign up with DStv promoters to stand a chance to win. During the first half, a random draw will be conducted to determine the lucky fans who will particate in the penalty kick competition against a DStv star in goals at half-time.
The successful penalty kick winner will be crowned Fan of the Match and walk away with R100 000. If the fan is a DStv Compact, Compact Plus or Premium subscriber, the prize money will be doubled to R200 000.
