SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt explained the recent lack of game time of on-loan striker Etiosa Ighodaro.
Ighodaro is currently on loan at United from Mamelodi Sundowns since the beginning of the season.
The 22-year-old Nigerian played just over 1300 minutes and scored seven goals with two assists in all competitions.
He’s only started one league game since November where Matsatsansa has only won three games out of 13.
“I think we’ve had, I hate to say this, [but] bad luck with injuries a lot of niggling little things him [Ighodaro] especially he’s been out a week or two here,” Hunt explained.
“So there’s been no consistency with that type of thing [game time].”
Ighodaro has scored 18 goals with four assists in 56 games in the South African top-flight for SuperSport and Chippa United respectively.
