Andile Jali’s agent, Mike Makaab has responded to rumours linking his client with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The 32-year-old’s contract with Mamelodi Sundowns is running out in June 2023, meaning he could sign a pre-contract with a club of his wish come January.
There have been rumours in the South African football fraternity that Chiefs and Pirates are looking into potentially snapping him on a free transfer, but Makaab has dismissed reports that there have been any talks.
“There have been rumours in the football media that a number of clubs have officially approached us regarding Andile Jali, that is not true at all,” Makaab told Gagasi FM.
“We are committed to sitting down with Mamelodi Sundowns and hopefully finding a solution for Andile.
“And if we can’t, then obviously we will look at other opportunities – it’s not only local opportunities that are interesting for us, but also opportunities outside of the country.
“So, it will be interesting to see what happened in the next 30 days.”
Jali joined Sundowns in 2018 and has been one of the key players at Chloorkop since, making 134 appearances for the club, helping Masandawana to lift seven trophies since his arrival.
