Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has been spotted in training with DStv Premiership side Royal AM.
The defender has been without a club since leaving Pirates at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
It is understood that the 35-year-old was offered a non-playing role with the Buccaneers, however, he felt he still has more to give to the beautiful game as player.
There had been reports that Jele was in talks with Royal AM ahead of the season but a move never materialised. However, he has now reappeared at the club after he was spotted in training pictures shared by the club.

This publication heard on Deadline Day that Jele was back at the club, but there weren’t further information on whether he was signed or not.
Upon publication of this article, there was no comment from Royal AM despite attempts by iDiski Times to get more information.
Back in December, Jele told iDiski Times newspaper senior writer Velile Mnyandu that he hadn’t given up on finding a new club yet.
“If a team comes now and they are looking for my services, I’m willing to listen to them because I still have a lot to offer in this game,” Jele told iDiski Times at the time.
“So far I have not thought about giving myself a deadline. But you will never know, maybe tomorrow I can wake up thinking differently.
“For now I think I can continue playing and I’m still in shape and continuing to train on my own even though it’s very hard to do that. But when there’s something that you want in life, you keep faith in it.”
While he’s keeping himself fit and might even return to top level football, Jele also completed SAFA Ekurhuleni CAF C License course in December to prepare for the next phase of his career.
