Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung says the club’s fan base should be patient and allow the technical team to do its job as far as introducing the new players is concerned.
Amakhosi completed the signings of the trio of Luke Baartman, Asanele Velebayi and Etiosa Ighodaro last month and unveiled them at one of their home games, but none of the payers is yet to make a debut.
They then added Lebohang Maboe and Khanyisa Mayo, and are now sitting on 11 signings for the window, having fans excited.
Speaking at the Nedbank Cup CSI event in Kwa–Thema earlier this week Motaung said the club’s management are also excited about the depth in the team but the coaches should be given freedom to integrate the new players, with the likes of Ethan Chislett, Nkanyiso Shinga, Ighodaro, Baartman, Velebayi, Maboe and Mayo yet to play for the club.
“Well, I think it’s important to allow the technical team and the players to integrate and gel,” said Motaung.
“But certainly excited about the new players we’ve acquired and look forward to that depth being actualised and used by the team.”
