Orlando Pirates legend Jomo Sono has weighed in on the conversation about current attacker Relebohile Mofokeng’s best position.
The topic of where the youngster is best suited has been in the headlines in recent weeks, with Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos saying the 21-year-old should be playing as a number 10 – something his club coach Abdeslam Ouaddou also recently admitted, with Mofokeng thriving for the Buccaneers in the 10 role.
Mofokeng’s versatility has seen him help his side with assists and goals as they currently occupy first spot on the Betway Premiership standings with 51 points.
The player has also recently netted his first professional career hat-trick to take his goal tally to seven, with five assists under his belt too. This has also earned him the Player of the Months of February and March.
Sono labelled the South African international class, saying he can play anywhere up front.
“He’s a good player to be honest,” Sono told Soccerbeat.
“He can play anywhere. Good players play anywhere he can play anywhere up front.
“I mean you can see some of the goals he scores coming from the wing, you know he’s class. He’s a class player.”
