Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has backed young striker Wandile Duba to improve after opening his account for the season.
The Glamour Boys recorded their second win on the trot after they dispatched Magesi FC 2-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.
Duba, 21, was first to get on the scoresheet in the 32nd minute before Mfundo Vilakazi came on in the second period to seal the three points six minutes from time.
The win moved the Naturena-based outfit into fourth spot just a single point behind third-placed AmaZulu, who have played two games more.
Kaze showed support for the youngster who got his first goal of the season after 11 outings with a single assist.
“A player like Wandile Duba, it’s a player that didn’t get a lot of time playing,” said Kaze on SuperSport TV.
“This [scoring] is gonna give him enough confidence to go forward and as well it’s good thing that there are players that are coming along to this end of the season.
“We are gonna need everyone to finish strong.”
Chiefs’ next match will see them play away to ORBIT College on Monday, April 6.
