Kaze Reveals Duba’s Best Position

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has revealed where he believes Wandile Duba fits best on the field.

The Chiefs academy graduate scored one of the two goals as Amakhosi secured a 2-0 victory over Magesi FC in a Betway Premiership match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The 21-year-old netted his first goal in Amakhosi colours this season, having previously struggled for form and consistent game time.

Kaze believes Duba is most effective when operating from wide areas, where he can burst into the box with aggression and consistently looks capable of creating something.

“It’s a very good performance from him today [Saturday] and we want players that challenge for each position,” said Kaze.

“He’s a very important player; he’s a player that has shown his qualities since last season.

“As well, we need him and sometimes you sleep on what you have done and probably in the moment you don’t do enough to keep improving.

“But I believe that he’s coming back, the goal that he scored is what we asked for. That’s why we didn’t play him as a striker because we feel that when he comes from a further position, he can get into the box and have more space to finish.

“He’s a player that likes to be fast, he can run and we believe that when he comes from a further position, he could get inside the box and make things happen.”
