Khanye Calls On Chiefs Star To Raise Hand

iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has urged Kaizer Chiefs attacker Mduduzi Shabalala to raise his hand and show maturity in his decision-making.

Shabalala was handed a starting berth as the Glamour Boys returned to winning ways at FNB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Following a four-match losing streak across all competitions, Amakhosi were under pressure to pick up maximum points and they did just that.

Glody Lilepo struck in the 69th minute as Chiefs narrowly beat Durban City 1-0 to move to fifth place on the Betway Premiership standings. They also completed a league double over City this season having won by the same scoreline in the return fixture courtesy of Flavio Da Silva’s strike.

Khanye reckons that Shabalala needs to take his opportunity in grabbing games by the scruff of the neck having come through the club’s development.

“Plenty of wrong decisions, I’m talking about Mdu,” he said on iDiski TV.

“If you can’t perform like Mdu, this is the right time when you have to raise your hand boy.

“Because once they [the club] brings quality players, you’re not gonna play proper.

“I mean this boy how many chances does he need? He graduated from development. He ate football, slept football and woke up football.

“He’s from development, so there are no excuses from him.

“So, his decision-making, taking on other players should be better than other players [his teammates]. “
