Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has tipped Orlando Pirates talent Mohau Nkota to have a bright future ahead saying the player reminds him of FC Barcelona and Brazilian star Raphinha.
Nkota was promoted from Pirates’ development this season and has been a marvel to watch as he netted a brace in their 2-1 win against AmaZulu in the Betway Premiership at Orlando Stadium on Friday evening.

The 19-year-old’s first goal against Usuthu was an absolute left-footed belter from outside the box giving Richard Ofori no chance as Pirates shot to the top of the log with 15 points from five matches for a perfect 100% league start.
Khanye says Nkota reminds him of Brazilian midfielder Raphinha while going to explain how the player has been combining well with fellow development graduate Relebohile Mofokeng.
The former Kaizer Chiefs winger added that Nkota had been showing glimpses of brilliance in earlier matches and he and Mofokeng have highlighted the importance of playing with two wingers in South African football.
“He reminds of the Brazilian Raphinha,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“This boy he’s got a bright future ahead of him. Like we spoke about him from the glimpses he showed on Tuesday.
“The importance of playing with two wingers in South Africa and especially at Pirates and [Kaizer] Chiefs, because Pirates and Chiefs they are not playing like [Mamelodi] Sundowns. Having two dangerous wingers cutting in, always taking somebody on and playing one, twos.
“They are so technically good with good decision making. These two Relebohile Mofokeng and this boy they create so many chances.
“Pirates didn’t dominate the game in the middle because of the absence of Thalente Mbatha and Makhehleni [Makhaula] and we can’t say they were solid at the back because AmaZulu didn’t test them.
“[Thabiso] Sesane plays the ball diagonally to Relebohile and Relebohile plays diagonally to Nkota with a good first touch. He [Nkota] is a very skilful player, he cuts in, he sees the goals open, and the goalkeeper was the only difference.
“They also have a deadly combination because when Nkota plays with Relebohile they come close to and create a diamond shape with [Evidence] Makgopa.”
