Khanye Names Two Downs Stars Who Changed Game In Thrashing Win

iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has identified Teboho Mokoena and Monnapule Saleng as the two players who changed the complexion of the match in Mamelodi Sundowns‘ win over Marumo Gallants.

Masandawana came into tie needing a win to leapfrog Orlando Pirates at the summit of the Betway Premiership.

Miguel Cardoso’s charges displayed their usual dominance as they swept aside Bahlabane Ba Ntwa 3-1 to move two points clear of the Buccaneers with nine matches to go.

The home side took the lead in the 31st minute through an own goal by Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya before Gallants levelled matters in the 40th minute via a spot kick by Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.

Teboho Mokoena restored parity for Sundowns in the 60th minute before netting the winner and his brace of the evening in the 90th minute.

Khanye is of the notion that the two players were vital in Sundowns’ win though he added that Saleng should be played to his strength while naming ‘Tebza’ as his man of the match for his impressive display.

“Very important player. For me, he’s the man of the match,” Khanye said on iDiski TV.

“He played a few minutes. 45 minutes man of the match it happens. You can enter the fray in the second half and become man of the match.

“Very influential player Tebza. Just look at goal number two how it was played and how he connected with it.

“Well done to Saleng, he changed the game. I think they must play him according to his strength.

“Stay wide on the left. He assisted and I’ll applaud him. Well done to him and Tebza.

“They changed the game.”
