Khanye Picks His Chiefs XI For Derby

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has picked which starting line-up he would select for Saturday’s Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.

Khanye himself is no stranger to the derby, and also no stranger to sharing his mind, and some of his selections might be different to what Cavin Johnson will select.

“I will start with Itumeleng Khune,” Khanye told iDiski Times

“Right-back, for me yes, [Reeve] Frosler is fine, he can go there. But tactically and discipline, he doesn’t have to go forward.

“On the left I’d go with [Happy] Mashiane and at centre-back Edmilson Dove and Njabulo Ngcobo.

“Midfield I’d play holding [Edson] Castillo, and two central midfielders, I’d go Samkelo Zwane and also Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

“And front three, I will start with Mdu [Shabalala] coming on the left and right I’d go with Du Preez (if he is available) and at front, I’d go with [Christian] Saile.”
