Khanye Questions Chiefs Stars’ Future At Naturena

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has questioned why Amakhosi striker Christian Saile is still at the club, saying he doesn’t offer them much.

Saile joined Amakhosi at the start of the 2022/23 season, playing 56 matches with six of them coming from this current campaign. Overall, he has scored seven goals in all competitions but none this term so far.

The 25-year-old again missed chances in his side’s 1-0 loss to Cape Town City in their first league match of the year on Sunday, with Khanye questioning how he is even earning a starting berth in the line-up.

“Sometimes it’s an embarrassment to see the likes of Saile starting a game,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“When you have a left winger like Saile who is always doing the same thing every week I don’t understand how he earned a place to play. Why is he still at Chiefs?

“Not much from Saile from the left he hits the ball over the bar, he was off target for like three times doing the same thing in a row. His decision making was poor as well. There were 3 v 2 situations and passed to the opponents very poor from Chiefs I need to be honest.”
