Betway Premiership newbies Kruger United are on the verge of securing former Chippa United utility player Ayabulela Konqobe.
Konqobe has plenty of experience, having played for Thanda Royal Zulu, Ajax Cape Town, AmaZulu, SuperSport United and Chippa United.
The 30-year-old made 26 appearances in all competitions at Chippa last season, and his exit came as a surprise.
Latest information received states that Konqobe is going through assessment at Kruger, and the club seems to be impressed with his progress.
The newly promoted side has been struggling since gaining promotion after collecting only two points after five games. They find themselves at the bottom of the league table.
The experience of Konqobe would come in handy for Kruger as he can play in a defensive role which they seem to be struggling to concede goals.
