Free agent Luke Baartman on Tuesday afternoon bid farewell to his family ahead of his imminent move to Kaizer Chiefs.
The 19-year-old was declared a free agent by the PSL DRC and is expected to be unveiled as Amakhosi’s new signing after his contract with ABC Motsepe League side Cape Town Spurs was declared null and void upon the team’s relegation to the amateur ranks.
Baartman will link up with his former Urban Warriors captain Asanele Velebayi after the latter’s fate was sealed in a similar fashion last week.
iDiski Times’ very own Sinethemba Makonco was present at Cape Town International Airport on Tuesday as Baartman shared hugs and laughter with his family members before jetting off to Gauteng.
