AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane has penned a new deal with the club, iDiski Times has learnt.

The 52-year-old tactician has been with Usuthu since October 2024, when he initially arrived alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi as co-coaches following the dismissal of Spanish manager Pablo Franco Martín.

The duo steered the team together until Vilakazi unexpectedly tendered his resignation, stepping down to leave Zwane in sole head coach role.

With his previous deal set to expire at the end of June, the KZN outfit has moved swiftly to secure Zwane’s services.

The former Kaizer Chiefs mentor has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract, which includes a club option to extend for a further two seasons.

The renewal comes on the back of an impressive campaign where Zwane guided Usuthu to a fourth-place finish in the Betway Premiership, accumulating 47 points from 30 matches.

Although AmaZulu missed out on a coveted CAF Confederation Cup qualification spot by just six points, the club’s management clearly believes Zwane is the right man to build on that foundation and launch a sustained assault on silverware next season.
