Mamelodi Sundowns‘ long-serving analyst and scout Duan Baker has officially left the club after his contract expired.
Baker has been at Sundowns for four years after joining them from Ajax Cape Town (now, Cape Town Spurs). The technocrat won nine trophies in Sundowns colours including the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League, with Sundown’s ladies team and four Betway Premiership titles with the males team.

Baker announced his departure on his social media platforms and was thankful to the Sundowns board for giving him the opportunity to be part of the history makers at the club. Barker is known of scouting good talent from the grassroots of football, his exit came as a surprise to many football supporters.
Baker is already attracting interesting with Cape Town City looking to snap him up having worked with John Comitis during the Ajax Cape Town days.
Incoming City coach Andries Ulderink also worked with Baker at Ajax and the two could once again be reunited.
