Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi believes Sipho Mbule still has a future at the club despite being loaned out to Sekhukhune United for the season.
Mbule, 26, was one of the surprise departures from Chloorkop this window, completing a loan deal to Babina Noko.
However, Mngqithi insisted he is rating Mbule highly and the player still has a future at the club, but hopes he will get regular game-time at Sekhukhune this season.
“I think it’s good for the boy because I like him a lot and I believe he’s got so much that he can give us,” he said after his side’s 4-1 win over Marumo Gallants.
“I think it will be very good for him to taste another environment and he still has a chance to come back and help us because we were struggling with a lot of things in terms of his physical condition because when you’re not playing regularly you’re always bound to gain weight and have this issue, that issue.
“Then you’re getting a chance and you get injured, because maybe your physical condition you’re not getting as many as game as we would’ve loved.
“But I still see him coming back to Sundowns and claiming a place in this team. I think it will help him if he could manage to play regularly for Sekhukhune. I think we will benefit as a club and he will also benefit because I believe he can help us towards the end, maybe even go further in his career, because he is a very good football player.”
