Orlando Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi has revealed his new nickname is Travis Scott.
Maswangangyi, 27, is known as ‘Tito’ to many fans of the Buccaneers, but in the squad he seems to have received a new nickname, as revealed during a conversation with Thomas Mlambo in Spain.
“I heard the masterchef [Sipho Mbule] calling you Travis Scott?” Mlambo asked.
“That is my new nickname. I just like Travis Scott a lot, I play his music, so that’s why they call me Travis Scott,” Maswanganyi replied.
The skilful attacking midfiielder also dons a new haircut, admitting it was also inspired by the American rapper.
“I think it’s something I wanted to do around the off-season. It’s my new look for the new season,” he added.
“Inspired by Travis Scott. I’m very happy about it.”
Pirates los their first pre-season friendly 2-0 to Bolton Wanders and will be back in action on Sunday when they will take on Cypriot outfit Pafos.
