Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi has expressed excitement upon his switch to Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Chicago Fire.
Following reports that the 20-year-old had been snapped up by Chicago for a fee in the region Pirates of US$3 million (over R50 million), as per report by legendary sportscaster Mark Gleeson, the club finally made the announcement of his signing on Tuesday afternoon.

Mbokazi has taken time to react to his move where he will rub shoulders in the American league with the likes of Lionel Messi, Thomas Muller, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Wilfried Zaha and Luis Suárez just to mention of few of the big names.
“My name is Mbekezeli Mbokazi and I’m excited to join this lovely club,” he told the club’s media.
“I trust that everything will go well as I join this club.
“Chicago Fire is the name of the team. Thank You. Vamos!
He has been cleared to feature for the Buccanners in this coming weekend’s Carling Knockout Cup final and is expected to don the number four jersey at his new club.
