New Orlando Pirates signing Sipho Mbule’s first words as the club’s player has been those of gratitude especially for the welcome that him and his new teammates have received.
Mbule’s arrival at Pirates was announced last week Tuesday though details of the deal have been kept under wraps. This was followed by announcement of seven other new signings in Tshepang Moremi, Sihle Nduli, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, Masindi Nemtajela, Nkosikhona Ndaba and Yanela Mbuthuma.
The group had an induction tour on Monday that included a visit to the side’s training grounds at Rand stadium, the home of the founding member Bethuel Mokgosinyane in Orlando East, the Zodwa Khoza Foundation and Orlando Stadium.
The players also met with club legends like Tebogo Moloi, Lucky Lekgwathi, Happy Jele, Edward “Magents’ Motale and Innocent Maela.
The ‘Master Chef’ said the induction helps him and the other new arrivals have a better understanding of the club and what to expect next season.
“Today’s [induction] sessions are going to help us a lot,” said Mbule on PiratesTV.
“Because they are going to make things easy for us so that we can know what’s going on.
“Obviously already we have seen where we are training, so I think our minds are getting ready for the upcoming challenge.”
