Brima Logistics Executive Chairman Tshepo Brian Mekoa has expressed a sense of proudness after his company became a part of the Kaizer Chiefs brand history.
On Tuesday, Amakhosi made a groundbreaking announcement by officially launching the Chiefs Ladies team in Daveyton.
Coached by CAF A coaching licence-holder, Unathi Mabena, the Chiefs Ladies squad is comprised of 24 players and will play their matches at KwaThema Stadium as well as the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena.
They campaign in South Africa’s women’s football second tier league, the Gauteng SASOL league with a view of promotion league to the Hollywoodbets Super League next season.
Mekoa paid tribute to the club for their partnership, hailing from Daveyton, a township that has produced former Chiefs players like Junior Khanye, Thabiso ‘Skapie’ Malatsi just to mention a few.
“We are very happy to be the first sponsor of the Kaizer Chiefs Ladies team and proud to be associated with this colossal brand, which was also started by a young man back in 1970, Kaizer Motaung,” Mekoa told the Chiefs website.
“We have worked hard to build a strong company that the people of Daveyton, where I’m from, can be proud of. Partnering with Amakhosi allows us to continue writing our beautiful story.
“We know many of these players come from underprivileged backgrounds and we are here to provide hope and support. We are proud to be part of this historic moment and to be standing alongside South Africa’s biggest football Club.”

Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung welcomed Brima for coming on board.
“We are truly enthused by the story of Tshepo and Matsietsi Mekoa, who have worked tirelessly to build one of the biggest logistics companies in the country. Their leap of faith into women’s football is inspirational, and we hope other corporates will follow their example to help grow the women’s game in South Africa and across the continent.
“We are also happy that the launch of this important project took place in the heart of Daveyton at Brima Café, where the classy establishment employs a number of young people who are in the hospitality industry.”
Brima will serve as the sleeve sponsor for the Chiefs Ladies team.
