Cape Town Spurs head coach Ernst Middendorp’s name is said to be among the candidates to take up the vacant AmaZulu FC post following the sacking of Pablo Franco Martin.
Usuthu parted ways with Martin after nearly a year of him being in charge as the head coach. The Spaniard mentor had a bad start to the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign, losing three consecutive games as they are yet to pick up points and sit rock bottom of the log.
The search for a new coach has begun at Usuthu with reports that they looking at several coaches including their former coach Benni McCarthy.
iDiski Times has established that Middendorp’s name is also coming up amongst the candidates for the job. The experienced German mentor coach is currently in charge of the Urban Warriors after they were relegated last season.
Middendorp joined Spurs in the middle of last season with the hope of saving the Ikamva outfit after their disastrous start of the season, but it was too late as he could only secure 16 points.
