Miguel – What Nabi & Ex-PSL Star Told Me Before Chiefs Move

New Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has revealed what head coach Nasreddine Nabi and former Cape Town City goalkeeper Hugo Marques told him ahead of his move to Amakhosi.

Miguel, 28, joined the Glamour Boys after winning the Double with Petro de Luanda last season.

He’s played alongside former City goalkeeper Marques in Angola before moving to Naturena this window, with his countryman full of praise of the experienced defender.

Miguel was introduced to local media on Wednesday at Naturena, and was asked what Nabi and his countryman told him ahead of his move to South Africa.

“He just told me, don’t think twice. You know, Kaizer Chiefs is the biggest club in South Africa, in Africa, [and] world recognised,” Miguel said when asked by iDiski Times about Nabi and Marques’ advise.

“And if I want something different in my career and a new challenge, there is no better club to go and try to do something different.

“So yeah, Hugo Marques he forced me also to move here. Yeah, he makes me happy also.”

Miguel also revealed that he felt he had won everything possible at Petro and was excited to help waken up the sleeping Soweto giants.

“Yeah, I think I won everything at Petro de Luanda in this two years that I stayed there, so I myself, I feel that I need a new challenge,” he continued.

“And what better than Kaizer Chiefs, the sleeping giant to start again something different and of course the project in the future make me move here.”
