Mngqithi On Arrows Life Since Sundowns Exit

Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has expressed gratitude at the love and support he has received since returning to the club from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mngqithi returned to Abafana Bes’thende three months after parting ways with Sundowns in December 2024. The coach has taken charge of three matches where he collected four out of nine points as they sit ninth position on the log with 24 points.

Speaking after Arrows’ 1-0 win over Polokwane City at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium, Mngqithi was sentimental about his return to the club saying that being in a loving environment is nicer than most things.

“It can’t be nicer than being in a club that gave me an opportunity when nobody would even touch me, because this club they made a big sacrifice,” Mngqithi answered iDiski Times about how he’s enjoying being back in the game.

“I can never forget what they did for me and because of that I will forever be indebted to them. No matter how much success I can achieve somewhere else, this will always be home. This will always be my base. This will always be a place I will always want the best for because in life, sometimes you just have to have gratitude.

“I would never be excited to see this club struggling and I could have assisted. So, I’m enjoying every minute.

“The people here love me. The supporters love me. Everybody in this club adores me, so I appreciate being in an environment like that.”
