Linda Mntambo parted ways with Orlando Pirates weeks ago after spending three seasons with the club and winning the MTN8.
The former Chippa United midfielder was unveiled this morning as the new Sekhukhune United player amongst another five players.

Mntambo joined Pirates in July 2018 from the Chili Bous and made 71 appearances in all competitions scoring eight goals. ‘Figo’ was also part of the Buccaneers side that lost the CAF Confederation Cup final to the Moroccan side RS Berkane.
Sekhukhune has done the first job of keeping the team into the top flight after finishing just 11th in the league, even though they failed to win their last 11 games of the campaign. Babina Noko will definitely aim for a higher finisher this season, with a top-eight their likely ambition.
The 33-year-old sent an emotional and thankful message to the supporters, management and chairman of Buccaneers for giving him a chance to wear the famous black and white colours.

“To, The Club Chairman, Club Officials, Office Staff, Support Staff, and Teammates (now former) I would like to take this moment to greet you all. With a heavy heart, it saddens me that I have to part ways with the Club that I grew up supporting, a club that is not only dear to my heart but my family’s as well,” he wrote on social media.
“As I look back, I can only reflect on the wonderful memories made and I will forever cherish them. The family environment at the club, the friendships and brotherhood created between myself and my then teammates mean a lot to me and I hope this does not get thrown away because of my departure.
As I head to Sekhukhune United, I will carry with me the teachings of humility, oneness, team spirit and everything that I learned while at the club as I continue to shape myself to be the best athlete on and off the field.
“I am happy to have received your blessings as we part ways. I trust that those remaining at the club will carry the club’s badge with pride and joy as I will also do so at my new home.
“Thank you for the support and for the wonderful memories. This is not goodbye as we will meet not as teammates but as opponents. Yours truly, Once and Always, Linda Mntambo.”
