Mamelodi Sundowns defender Aubrey Modiba has identified AmaZulu FC’s biggest threat ahead of their Betway Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides are set to meet at 19:30, with Sundowns looking to bounce back from their surprise MTN8 semi-final first-leg defeat to Golden Arrows last weekend.
AmaZulu, meanwhile, head into the encounter with confidence after securing a 2-0 league victory over Siwelele a week ago.
Modiba expects Arthur Zwane’s side to go toe-to-toe with Sundowns and believes Usuthu will look to use their pace to cause problems.
“Obviously, they are a well-rested team but that’s not an excuse. We know their dangerous players. They have the speed and also on how they want to play,” Modiba told Sundowns media department.
“We played them last season at home and in Durban. You could see that game. It was pound for pound.
“We’re expecting more or less the same game with the dangerous players. But we also have dangerous players as well.
“It’s going to be a good game to watch for people at home and at the stadium. Hopefully, they come to the stadium in numbers and push us.”
