Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe has admitted the timing is far from ideal as his side prepares to face Mamelodi Sundowns again in a second successive league clash.
The Brazilians secured a 1-0 win over Rise and Shine at Seshego Stadium, returning to the top of the standings ahead of Orlando Pirates.
Masandawana host Polokwane once more on Sunday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, aiming to stretch their lead at the summit.
Mohafe acknowledged the challenge of the quick turnaround, saying the short gap between matches has limited his team’s preparation time for the encounter.
“It doesn’t matter either way because you have to play any team at any given moment,” said Mohafe.
“So it is so unfortunate that we are playing them in a period of three days.
“So it gives us a lesser time to prepare thoroughly but we have to go and play against them.
“So it is one of the teams and it is one of the situations that forces us to play them within the space of three days.”
