Ahead of the match with Sekhukhune United, Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena says he and teammates are aware of the Betway Premiership log standings but are taking it a game at a time.
Sundowns currently top the table with 29 points and travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening for the clash with Babina Noko who are in fifth place with 26 points. A win for the defending champions will see them open a three-point gap at the summit.
Mokoena though suspended for the encounter, spoke about how well the opposition played in their last outing and will be coming to the game motivated against Sundowns.
The Bafana Bafana international says his teammates need to match Sekhukhune’s hunger.
“We take one game at a time,” said Mokoena told the Sundowns media.
“Of course we are aware of the log standings, but we just take it one game at a time. Both teams are motivated, I think. And I also think Sekhukhune played well against [Orlando] Pirates and they are a good side.
“It won’t be an easy game for us but if we can show up and match their hunger and our quality for sure will suffice.”
