Nabi Confirms Huge Chiefs Injury Boost For CT City Tie

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that left-back Bradley Cross has recovered from his horrific leg injury and could play part in this afternoon’s Betway Premiership clash against Cape Town City at DHL Stadium.

Cross has been one of Amakhosi’s most consistent players this season featuring 10 times across all competitions before his progress was halted by a vicious tackle from Thabang Matuludi in their 2-0 defeat to Polokwane City.

The 23-year-old defender was snapped up by the Naturena-based outfit at the beginning of the current campaign and has excelled with distinction with the Tunisian mentor expressing delight at having Cross back.

“We welcome some players such as Bradley Cross who have recovered from injury back in the squad, which is a bonus because he has been one of our most consistent players this season,” Nabi told the club’s website.

Chiefs’ opponents have had a coaching change after showing Eric Tinkler the exit door after three years with former Amakhosi mentor Muhsin Ertugral now at the helm on an interim basis until the end of the current campaign.
