Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that Siphesihle Ndlovu missed the club’s tour to the Netherlands because he wasn’t able to get a visa in time, but he insisted the new midfielder worked well in South Africa.
Ndlovu was the club’s sixth and last signing this window so far, joining the club from former SuperSport United.
However, fans missed him on the pre-season tour in the Netherlands and are excited to see him in Saturday’s Toyota Cup match against Asante Kotoko.
“It’s true that Ndlovu was not part of the squad due to the timeline to get the visa,” Nabi confirmed.
“But we took the opportunity as well to he worked with [conditioning coach Safi] Majdi, who had the same issues. And we took that time to our advantage and the work that was done with him was very good work by Majdi.
“Unfortunately, without friendly games, because it wasn’t possible, but we feel that it’s a job that was well done.”
The Toyota Cup kicks off at 15:00 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
