Nabi On Chiefs’ Injury Crisis

Kaizer Chiefs head coach has addressed the club’s current injury crisis, admitting he believes in the quality within the squad.

Amakhosi currently have several players sidelined, after Edson Castillo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Gaston Sirino, and defenders Dillan Solomons and Bradley Cross, as well as goalkeeper Brandon Petersen all picked up injuries.

Chiefs have gone three games without a win, losing 2-0 to Polokwane City, drawing 2-2 with Royal AM and their latest 1-1 stalemate with TS Galaxy.

However, Nabi remained defiant despite the first real injury crisis under his helm.

“We have a few injuries but that is why a top team needs to have a big squad of quality players,” he told the club’s media team.

“We have full faith in the players that are ready to step in and perform at a high level.

“We believe the collective togetherness within the squad will help the team no matter which players are in the line-up.”

Chiefs only return to action on 29 December when they will host Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
