Nabi On Chiefs’ Title Chances

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi emphasised that the club will compete in every competition they will be involved in this season, and also their chances of winning the league.

Chiefs finished last season outside the top eight but ended their 10-year trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup, beating their bitter rivals, Orlando Pirates, in the final.

But in the league, Chiefs have now missed out on the top eight in two successive seasons – something Nabi and his team will want to avoid in 2025/26.

Nabi insisted this season they will work hard to win games and compete in each and every competition they will be playing and most probably push for the league title.

“How we’re approaching the season with the league, the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Confederations Cup is to take game by game and do everything we can in every game to win that game,” Nabi told the media when asked about Chiefs’ title hopes.

“Maybe it’s not gonna be possible to win all the games, maybe it’s gonna be possible but we gonna challenge for every game in whatever capabilities that we will be in.

“To challenge in every game and every competition and after that we will see where we stand.”
