Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has praised the performance of Gaston Sirino in his Amakhosi debut and pointed out a big change in attitude compared to last season.
The Glamour Boys had to come from behind to beat Marumo Gallants 2-1, with Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi on the scoresheet.
After the match, Nabi pointed out the change in attitude, saying his players’ heads didn’t go down after they conceded the opener.
The Tunisian tactician also praised the debut performance of Sirino, who assisted Chiefs’ first goal.
“If I compare today’s Kaizer Chiefs with last season, the first change is the winning attitude of the players,” he told journalists.
“Before if Chiefs received a goal, all the moral of players went down. We worked on this.
“I’m happy, we need to continue with this attitude. This is the first thing we observed today.
“I’m happy for the performance of Sirino, too many people thought maybe Sirino is [past his best]. Honestly, congratulations to him.
“Honestly, congratulations to all the players, also all the players on the bench and the players who stayed in Joburg.”
