Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has heaped praise on the signing of trio Thabo Cele, Glody Lilepo and Tashreeq Morris who seem to be fitting in like a glove in their new set-up.
Since their arrival, the trio have hit the ground running at Chiefs, with Cele and Lilepo making their third appearance in the 1-0 win over Stellenbosch while Morris was suspended for the Soweto Derby.
Lilepo and Morris contributed to the 2-2 draw against AmaZulu on Tuesday evening at FNB Stadium as they were involved in both own goals before the DRC international netted the winning goal against Stellies while Cele featured the entire match and orris worked his socks off.
Nabi explained the signing of Morris by stating that they did their due diligence when signing players in the past transfer window.
“Every time when you recruit new players you have to do due diligence to get the right fit for your team and we feel that we did a very good due diligence to get players who could help right away because in the December/January window, you need to bring a player that is ready to help right away, it’s not like in the big window,” Nabi told the media.
“And as well Thabo [Cele] is a player that we have been following, he is a player that likes the ball, we want those kinds of players who are brave, who want to play, who want to play.

“Tashreeq, I believe most people were surprised that Tashreeq goes to Kaizer Chiefs, but you can see the quality that he brings to the team. Now we can play the ball up and he can hold it, he can give us enough time to get up there.
“Lilepo we believe that he hasn’t even started because we know that he can even do more than what he is doing.”
