New Chippa United head Luc Eymael has already identified the players that impressed him and those that need to work hard.
Eymael was on the Chilli Boys bench for his first match since making a return to Mzansi in their 3-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates by 3-0, making him the third coach already at Chippa after five games, with Sinethemba Badela only lasting for two games, while Musa Nyatama was the caretaker coach for only one game.
The 65-year-old Belgian mentor has already identified players that impressed him but refused to mention them by name and also stated that some must up their game and think of their careers.
“When a coach starts in a new club what can he bring, the way to come out from his box to the other box without pumping balls all the time, also you have to work on combination, switching play, and all those things. So today, I was aware, and we were aware of how the Pirates play,” Eymael told the media.
“I played with this coach Abdeslam Ouaddou in Congo when I was at Lupopo he had already left Congo. There are some players that I am happy with, but I will not tell you who. But some I am not happy with, they have to improve and think about their career.
“They have to put big effort to help the club come out of the hole. I didn’t come here to spoil my name, I came here because I knew Chippa is a club that for a long time didn’t finish in the top eight for a long time, they were bottom of the league, last week it was a very bad loss, we didn’t deserve that loss and at the end of the day we loss.”
