Carling Knockout Cup champions Magesi FC have appointed Papi Zothwane as interim head coach following the shock departure of Clinton Larsen this past weekend.
Zothwane, who has initially one of Larsen’s assistants, will now take up the hot seat for the time being with Jackie Ledwaba set to be his assistant.
Larsen dropped a bombshell following their 3-0 defeat to the PSL Carling All Stars in the Carling Black Label Cup final that he could no longer continue with the group of players despite their knockout cup success over Mamelodi Sundowns.
On Tuesday afternoon, the club made an announcement that the former Bafana Bafana midfielder would take over the reins for the foreseeable future.
