Ouaddou Shares Title Promise

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has promised his side will fight until the last minute in their attempt to lift the Betway Premiership title this season.

The Buccaneers moved back to the top of the log thanks to a late contentious penalty converted by Evidence Makgopa.

The second goal against Richards Bay saw Pirates overtake Mamelodi Sundowns based on the one goal better goal difference again.

After the final whistle, Ouaddou made no hiding of his side ambition to lift the league title this season – with their last league trophy dating back to 2011/12.

“Everyone is dreaming to be champions, and we are fighting with wanting to be champions,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“It a passion in the PSL and we are going to fight until the last minute.

“I can promise that we are going to die on the pitch and to believe until the last second.”

Pirates have a chance to extend their lead when they will face Siwelele FC on Saturday, with Sundowns in action in the CAF Champions League on Friday.
