Kaizer Chiefs defender Sibongiseni Mthethwa has responded to comparisons to former Chelsea midfielder and French international N’Golo Kante.
Ox, as he is affectionately known, spoke to iDiski Times senior Writer Lorenz Köhler in edition 126 of the newspaper about a variety of things, including how his move to Chiefs came about and the comparisons to Kante before even joining former side Stellenbosch FC.
He admits that he sees similarities between himself and Kante but always strives to not lose his own identity.
“All I can say is, I can see myself as that type of player,” Mthethwa told iDiski Times.
“Because the way N’Golo Kante plays, he plays with energy, aggression, everything is there.
“So I always use those strengths of mine for me to play like him. But the thing is, I always play my style.”
