Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has given insight on how it is working with Ilyes Mzoughi, and revealed what the goalkeeper coach tells his players.
Mzoughi is part of Nasreddine Nabi’s technical team and has made headlines for his temperamental actions on the sidelines.
Petersen is one of the goalkeeper who work daily with Mzoughi and admitted he can be quite a character but also prides himself in his work and supports the Amakhosi shotstoppers.
“I think a wonderful guy, humble human being. A nice guy to sit around and have a coffee with, have a nice chat,” Petersen stated.
“But when it comes to working, we’re working. He prides himself in his hard work and he always tells us he wants his goalkeepers to be the best in the country.
“He’s passionate about his work and every day we’re getting reminded about the fact that we are the best. He always backs us, he always believes in us.
“As a goalkeeper, it’s a difficult position, especially at a team like Chiefs, but having someone that’s backing and supporting you, it’s amazing.
“He’s a character. When hei s angry, he is angry but when he is happy he is happy. He loves the supporters, he loves the people, a joy to work with.”
