MTN8 defending champions Orlando Pirates have confirmed that duo Thabiso Lebitso and Miguel Timm are the club’s latest injury casualties ahead of this afternoon’s cup quarterfinal fixture against SuperSport United.
Lebitso suffered a knee injury during the pre-season friendly against Al Sadd last month, while Timm is set to undergo a late fitness test in order to shake off the ankle injury he suffered in the same match.
This will be a first meeting in the Wafa Wafa competition for both sides since the 2018-2019 campaign, and Jose Riveiro’s charges will be out to exact revenge on the Tshwane side after failing to register a win against Gavin Hunt’s men last season, who took four points off them.
