Orlando Pirates have confirmed that new signing Craig Martin will be available for selection when the Buccaneers face his former side Cape Town City on Saturday.
The Buccaneers hope to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, while City will be keen to keep the three points after losing 1-0 at home to SuperSport.
Pirates, who have only scored nine goals in 14 DStv Premiership games so far, have confirmed they can count on Martin as well as Ndumiso Mabena on Saturday.
“There have been some mid-season personnel changes at both camps, most notably Craig Martin’s recent move from City to Pirates,” they stated
“The speedy wing-back is now eligible for a start against his old club along with striker Ndumiso Mabena, who is back for a second stint at the Buccaneers.”
Martin, 29, has made 152 appearances for City, scoring 14 goals, while assisting another 10.
Mabena, meanwhile, netted 28 times in 138 games for Royal AM, while he’s found the back of the net eight times in 72 matches during his first spell at Orlando Stadium. He also scored 24 goals in 101 games for Cape Umoya United.
Do you think Martin and Mabena can help Pirates to score more goals in the second half of the season?
