Orlando Pirates have given a brief injury update ahead of their DStv Premiership clash at Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday, with three players unlikely to feature.
The Buccaneers come into this game after disappointing back-to-back draws with AmaZulu and Polokwane City, which saw them remain in the lower half of the table.
However, they are seen as big favourites for Wednesday’s clash at DHL Stadium, facing a Spurs side, who have lost all of their eight Dstv Premiership games so far.
But Jose Riveiro’s task has not been made easier, as the club have “several injury worries”, with Sipho Chaine, Innocent Maela and Maseko Mako unlikely to feature.
“Pirates have several injury worries heading into the clash, with goalkeeper Sipho Chaine and Innocent Maela on the sidelines,” the club stated.
“The duo is among players unlikely to feature on Wednesday along with fullback Paseka Mako, who is also recovering from a knock picked up in recent weeks.”
Pirates currently sit in 13th place with nine points from seven games, that’s a massive 15 points behind run-away leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who’ve won their first eight league matches.
