Pirates Receive Boost Ahead Of Bay Clash

Orlando Pirates have been boosted by Bandile Shandu and Goodman Mosele nearing a return to action after being sidelined with injuries.

The Buccaneers return to action on Saturday with a trip to the struggling Natal Richboyz, who are without a win in eight matches, having lost their last six in all competitions.

Jose Riveiro’s men come into the game after winning six of their last eight DStv Premiership matches, including a 1-0 over second-placed SuperSport United, which saw them close in on just two points to Gavin Hunt’s side.

With a win in KwaZulu-Natal, Pirates would cement their hopes of finishing in second spot, ahead of Matsatsantsa’s and Kaizer Chiefs’ games later on Saturday.

Riveiro has been boosted by no new injuries over the international break, while Shandu and Mosele have also returned to the squad.

“The Buccaneers have welcomed five members of their playing personnel back from international duty, with Deon Hotto back from representing Namibia along with four players who turned up for South Africa,” the club said via a statement.

“José Riveiro’s squad has been further boosted by the likes of Bandile Shandu and Goodman Mosele nearing a return to action after weeks on the sidelines.”

Pirates face Bay at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium at 15:00 today.
