Orlando Pirates have released a statement after several players appeared in a video on social media discussing betting.
Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine was one of the players appearing in the video that trended on social media on Monday.
However, the club issued a statement, saying “the players in the video did not place any bets”.
Instead the players “purported to have placed a bet on an English Premiership match”, according to the club.
The club further stated that the players apologised but the club will investigate the matter internally.
