Pirates & SSU Starting XIs Confirmed

Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United have named their starting squads ahead of this evening’s Betway Premiership encounter at Orlando Stadium.

Following their shock 3-2 Carling Knockout Cup first round exit at the hands of Magesi FC, Bucs will be looking to bounce back with a win against an equally wounded United side who were hammered 4-0 by Kaizer Chiefs in the same cup competition.

Jose Riveiro’s charges are one of just two teams, alongside table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a 100% league record and the second highest goalscoring team with six goals alongside Chiefs.

Matsatsantsa haven’t had a good start to the new season as they have lost four matches out of the six, they’ve played across all competitions.

Gavin Hunt’s side have only two competitions to compete in, Nedbank Cup and Betway Premiership after being eliminated in the first round of both MTN8 and Carling Knockout.

The Tshwane giants have had the better of Pirates in the last five league matches having won two, losing just once and playing to three draws.

Here is how both teams line up:

Pirates Starting XI: Chaine, Sesane, Sibisi, Van Rooyen, Hotto, Mbatha, Makhaula, Maswanganyi, Nkota, Mofokeng, Makgopa

Subs: Buthelezi, Moleleki, Rasebotja, Maela, Mabasa, Dlamini, Ndlondlo, Otladisa, Monyane

SSU Starting XI: Goss, Mobbie, Rapoo, Sanoka, Hlatshwayo, Morris, Ndlovu, Poggenpoel, Lakay, Pule, Dzvukamanja

Subs: Mbanjwa, Baloyi, Baliti, Jansen, Mbangossoum, Okon, Ayer, Mahlangu, Mangezi
