Polokwane City are edging closer to completing two new signings in striker Thabelo Tshikweta and winger Rudzani Thobo from Venda Football Club.
This publication has learned that Rise and Shine is in the final stages of completing transfers for the duo who both contributed positively for the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit.
Tshikweta scored four times for Venda last season with the former Mpheni Home Defenders FC striker having been growing immensely in his career throughout the years.
Thobo on the other hand was one of the creative players at Venda last season and managed to score two goals – one in the Nedbank Cup and one in the league and the 31-year-old will be playing for his second professional side.
After losing Oswin Appollis, Rise and Shine felt they needed to bolster their squad for this coming season and see if they can finish in a better place than last term.
City have already started the season on a losing note going down 2-0 to Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 quarterfinals .
They will start the Betway Premiership campaign against their provincial arch-rivals Magesi FC on Saturday afternoon.
